Our Story
Jennane Guesthouse | A Story Rooted in the Land
Dar Jennane is not just a house… it is a family story that breathes belonging to this land and carries the spirit of genuine hospitality
Our family name, Jennane, was born from this very place. Our grandfather, who chose the name, built his home beside a natural spring called “Ain Jennane” — the Spring of Jennane — on the edge of the village, surrounded by fields and orchards of figs and olives
Here he lived, and around him his children grew
From this soil, from this water, the name Jennane was born — passed down from generation to generation
The story of Jennane Guesthouse begins with El Habib Jennane, who left his village for Rabat in search of a new life
Years went by, his children grew and pursued their studies, yet his heart remained tied to the soil of his village and the family home
Eventually, El Habib returned — to his land, to his home — to revive the place where he was born and raised
This return was inspired and encouraged by Anas Jennane, founder of the Amouddou Family project
And so, Dar Jennane was born — a bridge between past and present, a home that welcomes visitors just as the earth embraces its trees
